UPDATE: Second 'Mockingjay' Teaser Trailer Debuting Tomorrow - 0:59 Long, In Cinemas With Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes

UPDATE: Lionsgate have officially announced that the new teaser trailer will debut on Capitol TV tomorrow! It will be in the form of President Snow's second address, titled 'Unity'.

President Snow's Panem Address was only the beginning.

Deluxe Digital Cinema have confirmed that a second teaser trailer for Mockingjay - Part 1 is 59 seconds long and will be in cinemas this week with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Like the first teaser that was released in time with Transformers: Age of Extinction, this should be attached to all showings of Apes in the United States, including Thursday night previews. It is unknown whether other countries will show the new teaser with Apes.

Unlike the first teaser, the new teaser file is encrypted much like a regular feature film, with the following message in the document:

This week's Trailers By Deluxe package includes an ENCRYPTED TRAILER for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY, PART 1 TRAILER #2 to be programmed with the release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Keys for this trailer will unlock the trailer at 3pm local time on Thursday 7/10. Please program accordingly.

The specific timing of the instructions suggests that the online premiere may indeed be on Thursday July 10; we expect it to debut on the official YouTube channel in a similar way to the first. The last time a major new trailer was encrypted in a similar way to prevent any advance leaks was the second trailer for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar which was shown with all screenings of Godzilla worldwide this May.

UPDATE: To clarify for those in doubt, Deluxe Digital Cinema is one of the main companies responsible for delivering films and trailers to US theatres every week, including the theatrical release of Catching Fire - so in our opinion can be considered a reliable source. Lionsgate are yet to comment on the matter.

We have a feeling, with the runtime that we have, that this will be a similar in-universe teaser as last time round, possibly more rebel/District 13-oriented too. The timing of the release 2 weeks after the first teaser and 2 weeks before San Diego Comic-Con is suggestive of a possible full-length trailer debut at the event, but we are yet to hear any confirmation regarding this.

Stay tuned, tributes...
